CASA Presents Gift to Mountain Top Quilters July 2009
As a “Thank You” to our quilting friends who donate quilts for our Annual Adoption Day, Myla Smith from the CASA office created a photo scrapbook which was presented at the Mountain Top Quilters' Guild meeting on July 20th.
Many quilters who participate in the creation of these quilts have visited and observed an Adoption Day celebration, but many of you have not had that opportunity. Our purpose was to thank all participants who work on the quilts and to invite any who have not participated to attend one of our future Adoption Day celebrations.
Additional pages will be added to the scrapbook each time we celebrate an Adoption Day. In future CASA newsletters we plan to feature the steps that are involved in the creation of each of the quilts that help make Adoption Day so memorable for our children.
Mountain Top Quilters began donating quilts for Adoption Day in 2002. As of July 2009, 353 quilts have been donated which averages 23 quilts per Adoption Day. Thanks to all you ladies who participate in each of the steps involved. If you haven’t already done so, please come join us at one of our upcoming Adoption Day celebrations.
